ok, i did it. i auditioned in front of jenny phillips. wow! i didn't do as well as i would have liked, but at least i did it. cross that one off my bucket list. i think it should replace the "audition for a play at hale center theatre" in my what-i-want-to-do-in-2009 list. now i can sleep. i'm not concerned whether i "make-it," i'm just proud of myself for not backing out. i tend to self-sabotage. i went into this originally thinking all the other individuals auditioning were professionals, when in reality they are just like me. some sang much better, believe it or not some sang worse. but we all gave it a go, and did it!
i have to say that jenny is the nicest woman. she is very sweet, and understanding, and she even took extra time with a few people to give them the opportunity to do their best. we even received a complimentary copy of her "remember the journey" cd. it's beautiful, i think you should all go out and buy one :)

Congratulation!! When do you find out. I hope you make it.
Yeah good for you!
Way to go! That is such a great talent to have and share, lucky! Glad your bucket list is getting smaller!
PS Brad has been fully employed for 5 hours and 11 minutes now, not that I'm counting.
I didn't even know about this theater until Memorial Day when we went to our concert and we passed it. I would love to go to a how there sometime. Maybe one you are in?? :)
That is supposed to say go to a "show" :)
Nancy Kay here--You are so cool! And brave and courageous and bold! I am proud of you...again! Looking forward to learning the results.
