mom's day

as usual i was treated like a queen today! breakfast, courtesy of austyn, flowers, gift certificates (pedicure here i come), cd's, coupon books, a new willowtree statue, darling necklace. the gifts are fun, but the best part is just being home with the family. i got to spend some much needed time on the back patio reading, and tonight enjoyed having ashlee, brady, britanee, brian and rian over for dessert. i've enjoyed watching ashlee and britanee with their children, and i'm grateful for my own mother - for her wonderful example. mother's day is not about revering mother's or for making mother's feel guilty about what they don't do...it's for appreciating what they DO do. who they are and what they've taught us, good and bad. i love my mother. i love being a mother. i love having daughters that are mothers. it's a beautiful thing!
